And so it begins. Another frantic and turbulent week at the Galway Races lies ahead. Galway truly does transform for the week with the streets filled with the buzz and the excitement for the oncoming social occasion. With the rain promised to stay at bay, there is no reason not to suit up or throw on the frock and throw a fiver each way on horse who’s name catches your fancy.
There is truly hope for everyone when even I can win money on horses as luck has never followed me with the horses before. Suited up and feeling a lot wealthier than I am, I decided to place a tenner each way on “Fosters Cross”, a horse who led the whole way in the Carlton.ie/GalwayCity Handicap. Proof that every horse has there day. There really is no better place to spend the next week than at the Ballybrit Race Course in Galway.
